Doug's practice involves construction litigation, particularly the defense of New York Labor Law claims and property damage claims, as well as litigation arising from construction contract disputes. He represents general contractors, construction managers, and developers in complex construction litigation. He has extensive experience with the defense of complex personal injury claims, including defending "grave injury" claims against employers as well as property damage claims. Additionally, he is well versed in risk transfer strategies and has extensive experience in navigating litigation within wrap-up policies, including identifying and pursuing targets for shifting the risk off of the wrap policy.
Beyond his construction practice, Doug also represents clients in commercial, employment, and insurance coverage litigation. He has prosecuted and defended breach of contract claims, defended employment and disability discrimination claims, and litigated insurance coverage disputes.
Prior to entering private practice, Doug worked for a cosmetics manufacturer, where he managed the company's intellectual property program and coordinated its regulatory compliance programs. Doug graduated law school magna cum laude and served as a senior articles editor on the St. John's Law Review.
